The name Käri draws inspiration from the Tamil word ``kari`` (கறி), meaning ``sauce.`` This ancient term is also the root of the English word ``curry`` and originates from Tamil — a classical language from Southern India and one of the oldest surviving languages in the world.

Kari opened its doors in 2023, and since then, we’ve been very fortunate to receive recognition from professional food critics and rave reviews from our valued local community. Our menu features a blend of traditional Indian dishes (some of them rarely found outside their local regions) alongside some of our personal favourites that we’ve always dreamed of sharing. Each dish is lovingly prepared by our chefs, combining authentic Indian spices with the finest locally sourced Irish ingredient.
